Perils of a Superheroine - Starring Wonder Woman

By Sir Lanceherlots

Author's Note - There are many wonderful stories on the net about superheroines. However, have you ever read a story and said to yourself, "This is great, but I wish the writer had gone in a different direction?"

This story is a result of that. I first got the idea for this piece reading a story on GW's page on Diana the Valkyrie's site. I don't think GW himself wrote it, but it's posted there. Anyway, by itself, the story is a fantastic piece. However, I thought, "What if the writer had gone a different way."

Which brings us here. Contained herein, you will notice some familiar ideas and perils, and hopefully some new ones, as well. (Was it Shakespeare or Homer (Simpson) who once said there are no truly original ideas in literature? Everything is about love, money or the revenge inspired by the two.) So please don't think of this as plagiarism or a sign I dislike the things I have read. If anything, they have been an inspiration. It is my hope that this tale will prompt others to write original stories inspired by something contained here. So GW, RW, Marat, Vladi, Mr. X, Nergd, Bob Cashman, Trent Wolf and others I have forgotten to mention, consider this an homage to the fine work you do. It is appreciated.

CHAPTER I

Washington, D.C.

Police Chief Samuel Norris knew he had to do something.

For Chrissakes, it was the governor's 15-year-old daughter on the videotape, giving a blowjob to a huge black man.

The young redhead bobbed up and down on the dark shaft until it finally exploded, covering her face in his cum. But instead of being surprised or repulsed or … anything … she just took it and smiled like a veteran porn actress.

Katie Reese, the governor's daughter, had quietly checked into the Lynch Rehabilitation Hospital because of an addiction to heroin. Her name had been changed to Danielle Stock to protect her identity and, six weeks after entering, she exited the hospital, clean as a whistle. She hadn't been in trouble since, undergoing counseling and drug tests in the four months since her stint. Everyone thought things were going well.

Until this tape showed up.

Now, Chief Norris had a problem. One of his officers had stumbled upon the tape in a sting operation of the Heath Adult Book Store. There had been rumors of "non-industry" tapes … amateur stuff involving young girls … emanating from the store. Sure enough, a cache of tapes was discovered

Most of the tapes were your typical, low-budget amateur porn videos - bad lighting, herky-jerky camera movement and poor angles. And no credits to the actors. All the females looked young, but Chief Norris knew that was nothing new. Most of the major porn companies got girls who had just turned 18 to play the "ingenue" being deflowered for the first time. They still looked young because they WERE young and there was no law prohibiting companies from implying their actors were still in high school … just as long as they were all of legal age.

However, when the detectives saw Katie Reese, they knew they had hit on something. One, she was DEFINITELY not 18. And, two, this was political dynamite.

After questioning the owner of the store, Jake Heath, the detectives learned an anonymous man delivered the tapes. Heath would pay $50 for each tape and he would then either rent them out for $10 a pop or sell them for twice the amount he paid. Everything was done with cash and no names were exchanged. Heath had no idea if he was the only vendor the man sold to, but figured he wasn't. "After all, why limit your profits," he pointed out.

Fortunately, no one had seemed to identify Katie Reese as the governor's daughter. The governor and his wife had kept their children in the background when they campaigned and the press, for once, had obliged … mentioning that they had children and taking a picture when the governor and his wife allowed it. But mostly, their privacy was well-guarded. The only reason the detective on the case had recognized Katie was because he was used as security during the governor's last visit.

After a couple of months investigating, everything seemed to point to the Lynch Hospital. The police had identified that at least four of the women and six of the men in the videos had been patients in the hospital over the past three years. None of the women they identified were underage (although some of the ones they couldn't identify appeared younger than Katie) but one of the men was 15. However, Chief Norris knew asking a jury to convict someone for statutory rape with an underage male was virtually impossible. Hell, HE would have jumped at the chance to have sex with some of the girls in these videos when he was 15.

Another problem was the Lynch Hospital itself. The Lynch Hospital had one of the finest reputations in the East for its substance abuse treatment. Its relapse rate was nearly 90 percent better than other hospitals and Thomas Lynch, its benefactor, was one of the wealthiest men - and largest philanthropists - in the country.

Chief Norris ran his right hand through his graying hair and picked up the phone. He hated to call, but there was only one person who could help him.

Diana Prince had been somewhat pleased to get Chief Norris' call. As Wonder Woman, she had offered her assistance often, but the Chief was a proud man who ran an outstanding police force. He preferred to handle problems with his own people, but he was not above asking for help when it was truly needed. In those cases, Wonder Woman had told Chief Norris to call Diana and, through her Inter-Agency Defense Council (IADC) contacts, she would get in touch with the Amazon. Of course, he had no idea that when he spoke to Diana Prince, he was, in fact, talking to Wonder Woman herself.

So Wonder Woman sat patiently in Chief Norris' office, listening to him succinctly run down the issues.

"Obviously, we can not let whomever is behind this continue to operate," Norris said, sitting on the edge of his desk. He was in his mid-50s but could easily pass for 40. His salt-and-pepper hair was the only thing that betrayed his age. His tall, thin frame and clean living made him healthier than many men half his age on the force. "But we can't rightly call Katie Reese to the stand to testify. I have met with the governor and discussed the situation. As you can imagine, that was not pleasant. He was livid, but he refused to expose his daughter to the humiliation that would accompany any trial. And getting a jury to convict because of the boy is virtually impossible. Hell, he would probably become a legend in his school."

Wonder Woman nodded.

"Then there's the problem of the hospital itself. I don't need to tell you about the reputation of the Lynch Rehabilition Hospital or of Thomas Lynch. Any formal investigation would open not only the department, but the mayor and the governor up to major political damage if nothing pans out. And if Lynch himself is involved, we can't rightly go to him to ask for his cooperation."

Again, Wonder Woman nodded. "So, where do I come in?"

Chief Norris sighed and looked away from the beautiful heroine, clad in her red bustier, golden tiara and blue star-spangled tights. Every time Wonder Woman came to the office, he had to constantly remind himself not to stare. Regrouping his thoughts, he looked back at the Amazon, leaned forward and lowered his voice slightly. "We can't do anything officially, but you have a unique position. You can act outside the 'official' constraints." He glanced around again. "I HATE having to ask this of you, but I don't see any other choice short of involving the FBI and I have no hope of controlling them or trusting their discretion. You, on the other hand, have proven to be discreet and I believe you have no agenda other than helping out the people of this city."

He sighed, then continued, "I want you to check into the hospital as a patient."

"WHAT?!?"

Chief Norris waved his hands. "Calm down. You don't have to become a drug addict or anything that drastic. Lynch has other aspects to its hospital … a mental ward, for example."

The Amazon sat patiently, then a slow grin spread on her lovely face.

"I think I see where you're going, Sam," she said. "I get committed to the hospital as a crazy woman who thinks she's Wonder Woman then I see what's going on, right?"

Chief Norris smiled and nodded. "It's the best thing I've been able to come up with. It'll require some acting skills on your part, but I kinda figure you've had some acting experience in your background."

Wonder Woman grinned, thinking back to her days on Paradise Island when she and her Amazon sisters would re-enact various Greek plays and battles. She would often play the part of the villain … something completely against type. It was also a way to tweak her Princess image. "A little," she replied.

"Figures," he said. "The trick now is to figure out how to get you in. You have to have some 'real' identity as a cover."

"How about we ask Diana Prince to come up with some credentials," Wonder Woman offered. "She can come up with a background … something like an heiress who has been missing for weeks that suddenly turns up wandering the streets. Her name is Patricia Anzalone. Your men pick her up and bring her here. After running her prints, you realize who she is, but she insists she IS Wonder Woman. After speaking with her lawyer, you ask the hospital to pick her up for treatment. Payment will be handled through a dummy trust set up by the IADC so if it is traced it will appear to be legitimate. That will let me in without anyone suspecting. I'll poke around and let you know what I turn up."

"Exactly what I was thinking," Norris said. He paused, then added, "You know, if something happens, we won't be able to do anything to help you. You'll be on your own."

The Amazon princess flashed a big grin. "Sam, you worry too much. What could happen?"

"Famous last words," Chief Norris thought.

CHAPTER II

Doctor Greg Lorio thought he had heard it all. As Chief of the Psychiatric Ward of Lynch Rehabilitation Hospital, Lorio had treated several "crazy" people. His part of the hospital wasn't as well-known as the chemical dependency unit, but it was still solid. Of course, most of the people committed to his ward were financially well-off (or came from wealthy families), so doping them up with tranquilizers and making sure they stayed quiet was usually the primary aim. What most people don't realize is that, for mentally ill patients - TRULY mentally ill patients - there is rarely a "cure." It's simply a matter of handling the disability as best as possible.

He had heard of people thinking they were someone famous - Napoleon, the President of the United States, even Erik Estrada once. But in his 20-plus years in the medical profession, he hadn't seen someone claim to be someone who actually LOOKED like that person.

Until now.

Through the mirror, sitting quietly with her legs crossed sat Wonder Woman. Except it wasn't really her. According to Chief Norris, her name was Patricia Anzalone.

"She has been missing for three weeks," Chief Norris said in the room outside the questioning room. "We thought she had been kidnapped, but no ransom demand ever came. So then we thought she had simply skipped town … the rich sometimes do things like that … except she didn't have any money. Finally, one of my men spotted her asking people if they needed a superheroine. At first, he thought she was a hooker. He told her to move along, but she kept repeating, 'I can't. This is a high-crime area.' Finally, he arrested her for disturbing the peace. When we ran her prints, we discovered who she really was."

"What about her family? I've never heard of the Anzalones," Dr. Lorio asked, still studying the woman decked out in the full costume.

"They're not originally from here," Norris answered, going over the background he and Wonder Woman had worked out before the doctor arrived. "They originally made their fortune in Europe … I don't know … some sort of widget that did something. It doesn't really matter. What DOES matter is that her parents are out of the country and unable to come back because of some kind of visa problems. Their instructions were to commit her to the best hospital in the U.S. until they could return. And this is where you come in."

Dr. Lorio nodded. The story was unusual, but certainly not unheard of. The rich often did things a little differently, especially wealthy Europeans. While most Americans would rush home to see to their troubled child, Europeans often wanted to take care of their affairs first.

"They set up a fund for treatment," Norris continued, handing Dr. Lorio a sheet of paper. On it was printed an account number. "They said a half-million dollars was in the account, which should more than cover the first few weeks. Here is a phone number," he handed Dr. Lorio another sheet, "to call to verify what I've just told you is true."

Doctor Lorio studied the information. A half-million dollars would easily take care of the young lady for more than a month, provided she didn't need some kind of major operation. "What about release forms? If this gal thinks she's Wonder Woman, I don't think she's sane enough to commit herself."

"Why don't you talk to her," Norris answered. "She's not dangerous and, as I understand it, if she voluntarily commits herself, she's free to leave at any time. The Anzalones simply want to be notified 24 hours before you release her."

"True, but what if I can't get in touch with them?"

"Then call me," Chief Norris replied. "I'll have a squad car come pick her up and, if she's trouble, we'll keep her here. I know the Anzalones … I did some security work for them on the side a couple of years ago … and I'll take responsibility. It's a shame about Patricia. She's a sweet kid and, as you can tell, gorgeous as hell. But she's just not right. Anyhow, call me and I'll do what I can."

Doctor Lorio nodded his consent. If the Washington D.C. Chief of Police is willing to take responsibility, who was he to argue? "Well, Chief Norris, I suppose it's time to meet my new patient and see if she will commit herself."

The two men entered the room and Wonder Woman turned around.

"Chief Norris, I really need to go," she said, playing up the role. "Who knows what crimes are going on out there that only Wonder Woman can stop!"

Norris smiled a smile that was both pitying and reassuring. "Sure, uhh, Wonder Woman. First we have to go over a few things. I want to introduce you to Doctor Gregory Lorio. He's one of the top … uhhh … doctors in his field."

"Pleased to meet you, Doctor," Wonder Woman answered, holding out her hand. The doctor shook it quickly then sat down. He was nowhere near as handsome as the police chief. Doctor Lorio had thinning rust-colored hair that tried unsuccessfully to cover a bald spot in the middle of his head. He was easily 50 pounds overweight with most of it above the waist. Wonder Woman sat at the table on the opposite side of the doctor and the chief.

"Patricia," Dr. Lorio began, "we need to talk."

"I'm Wonder Woman, Doctor," the Amazon answered.

"No, you're Patricia Anzalone and you have to quit this charade," Dr. Lorio continued, his voice taking on a slightly condescending tone. "Wonder Woman does amazing things and helps people. And while you may want to help people, Patricia, you're the one who really needs help. That's why I'm here."

Wonder Woman shook her head. "No, I really am Wonder Woman. I can prove it to you. Chief Norris, you've got a gun, right? Shoot it at me and I'll deflect the bullets with my bracelets."

Norris sat back in his chair. This wasn't part of what they rehearsed, but he had learned through years of questioning suspects to go with the flow. "You know I can't do that. You could get seriously hurt."

Wonder Woman stood and started pouting like a little girl. "But you HAVE to. I have to PROVE I'm Wonder Woman and that's the only way I can do it!"

Norris had to admit Wonder Woman was a good actress. The only problem he had was keeping up with her. Fortunately, Doctor Lorio took him off the hook.

"OK, Patricia … you want to prove you're Wonder Woman, right?" The Amazon nodded. "OK, I've got the perfect test, but if you fail, you have to come with me to get some help. Agree?"

Wonder Woman eyed him with the requisite skepticism. "And if I pass?"

Doctor Lorio chuckled, "Well, you're free to go. After all, Wonder Woman doesn't need help … she needs to help others, right?"

Wonder Woman beamed. "Right! OK, then, bring on your test!"

Doctor Lorio whispered into Chief Norris' ear. The chief smiled slightly, stood, then left the room. Wonder Woman looked at Dr. Lorio for a moment then around the room. Lorio was studying her behavior so she had to make sure she appeared incapable of maintaining concentration for long periods of time.

After less than a minute, Chief Norris returned with a Washington phone book. It was easily five inches thick. He plopped it down on the table.

"OK, Patricia," Dr. Lorio began. "Wonder Woman could tear this phone book in half with her strength, right?"

Wonder Woman nodded, somewhat apprehensive on the outside, but inside, she was smiling. The doctor was intelligent. This was a perfect test … and one she could easily "fail" but involved nothing more serious than a pulled muscle.

She tentatively picked up the phone book and tried several different grips. Finally, she settled on one and started straining. The book twisted slightly, but didn't tear. She quickly reversed her force, but to no effect. Then she reversed back and forth quickly, hoping for some shift … but nothing happened. Of course, the Amazon was playing a role … she could have ripped it in half with little effort. If anything, holding back was tougher, but she made it work.

After nearly a minute of struggling to no avail, Wonder Woman threw the book on the table and started crying. Doctor Lorio stood and walked around the table. Tentatively, he put a hand on her shoulder. "There, there, Patricia," he said. "It's OK. We can help you. All we need for you to do is sign this paper and we'll take care of you."

Doctor Lorio put a release form on the table and led the Amazon back to the table. Gently, he pushed her into the chair and handed her a pen. Chief Norris studied Wonder Woman and noticed the tears were real … the eye-liner she had used earlier just for this occasion ("It will show up better when I cry … make me appear less like the real Wonder Woman," she had said.) had streaked down her face, giving her a real messy appearance. Norris handed her a tissue which she used to wipe her eyes and nose.

"Just sign this and we'll be ready to go," Dr. Lorio said, standing behind the Amazon.

Wonder Woman held the pen for five seconds, then slowly began writing "Wonde …."

"NO!" shouted Dr. Lorio, startling both Chief Norris and Wonder Woman. "You are Patricia Anzalone, remember? Now, write your name … your REAL name!"

The Amazon suppressed another "sob" then wrote, "Patricia Anzalone."

"Very good, Patricia," Dr. Lorio said. "Now, can you just sit here a minute with Chief Norris while I make a phone call? I have to make sure the people back at the hospital know we're coming." Wonder Woman sniffed and nodded. "Chief, is there a phone I can use?"

"Sure, use one that's free in the precinct room," Chief Norris replied. "Dial 9 to get out."

"Thanks."

Doctor Lorio exited the room and strolled to the precinct room. It was bustling as usual with detectives and officers talking about various crimes and investigations. He finally found a free desk and sat down, picked up the phone and began dialing.

Back in the questioning room, Norris leaned close to Wonder Woman and whispered, "Damn, woman, you should get an Academy Award for that performance."

Careful not to smile - after all, she was the one facing the glass mirror - she nodded and said, "Thank you."

Norris knew she would do something to tip him off if the door opened and he knew that by talking low he couldn't be heard through the intercom. Defense attorneys did that all the time. "Look, you have my number, both at home and here. If you find anything, let me know. We'll get a warrant and go in there. I want you to check in after one week at the latest, understand? Using a phone shouldn't be a problem. I just want to know that everything is OK. Call the cell phone that we registered to Nigel Barnes, your 'butler.' Any questions?"

Wonder Woman shook her head and buried her face in her hands. This hid her mouth in case anyone was looking. "Got it. You just continue poking around on the outside and I'll do what I can inside. And you were good, too."

Norris grinned and whispered, "Thanks."

While all that was going on, Dr. Lorio had completed his conversation with his staff, informing them to prepare a private room for their new patient. As he hung up, a familiar face caught his eye. He stood and approached the man, who promptly walked away. The doctor followed him all the way into the restroom.

"Charlie Back," he said, "what's going on? You don't recognize an old friend?"

The detective quickly spun, locked the door then turned on the doctor. "Don't give me that shit, Greg! What the fuck are you doing here? Ratting me out?"

"Calm down," Dr. Lorio said, adopting the same slightly condescending voice he had used earlier with Wonder Woman. "I'm actually here on legitimate business … picking up a new patient. Some poor, demented girl thinks she's Wonder Woman. Thankfully, mommy and daddy have enough money to treat her. Still, it's amazing how much she looks like the real thing. Of course, I've never seen the REAL Wonder Woman …"

"Bullshit!" Back answered. "You're busted and you're cutting a deal, right? Well, you better not breathe one goddamned word that I'm involved or, so help me, I'll cut your balls off and feed them to my dog!"

Doctor Lorio stepped back. He had never seen Back like this. Charlie Back was one of his police informants. You can't run an operation like his without developing informants on BOTH sides of the law. "Charlie, I promise you, I have no idea what you're talking about," he finally said. "Is there something you know that I don't?"

Back studied him. He was working the options through his head. Finally, he reached a conclusion. He had no choice but to trust Lorio. Charlie Back was in too deep to turn back now. "Greg," he began, "that really IS Wonder Woman in there."

Doctor Lorio laughed. "No it isn't. It's a girl named Patricia Anzalone. She just THINKS she's Wonder Woman."

Back shook his head. "No, Greg. Look at this." Back handed the doctor an arrest report. On it was the name of Patricia Anzalone and all the other information Chief Norris had told him.

"So what?" Dr. Lorio said as he handed the report back to the detective. "It's just what I told you."

Back pushed the report back to the doctor. "No, Greg … look at who the arresting officer was." Doctor Lorio studied the form until he found the proper line. It read "Arresting Officer: Back." Lorio looked up at the detective.

"I didn't arrest her. I guess Norris figured no one would really care and he would help me boost my arrest rate … he owes me for a small favor I did and I guess this was his way of paying me back. Anyhow, I'm telling you, on my son's grave, I didn't arrest anyone like her. And I haven't heard anyone talk about an arrest of someone dressed like Wonder Woman. Believe me, that would have been the talk of the precinct. Instead, the talk has been of how Wonder Woman showed up and went straight to the questioning room. No one knows why. Then you show up. I figure you're here to rat everyone out."

Lorio nearly fainted. "Oh my God. Oh my God. What am I going to do?"

"Well, I wouldn't take her as a patient. And I'd get as far away as I can," Back said. "Take it from me. I've seen her in action once and I wouldn't want to mess with her. Your best bet is to get out of town and hope you can disappear."

Lorio buried his face in his hands. "I've got to get back there. They're going to be looking for me. My God, what am I going to do?"

Back put his hand on the doctor's shoulder and shook him slightly. "Get the fuck out of here, man. That's my advice. And don't fucking mention me if you're caught. Remember, I can help you in prison, but I have to be on the outside to do it."

Doctor Lorio nodded. Then he broke into a wide grin. "Charlie, there isn't going to be any prison in my future." The detective looked at him quizzically. "In fact, I need your help with something. Tell me …"

CHAPTER III

Chief Norris and Wonder Woman were beginning to wonder what had happened to the doctor when he re-entered the room.

"I'm sorry," he began. "I had to … uhhh … make a pit stop. Forgive me."

Wonder Woman blushed slightly then grinned sheepishly. "No problem."

"So, Patricia, shall we?"

The Amazon looked to the ground, assuming the role of a child awaiting punishment. She nodded then began walking forward.

"Patricia," Chief Norris said. Wonder Woman turned around. "Call me if you need anything, OK? Doctor Lorio has my number."

Wonder Woman stifled back a whimper, nodded quickly and left the room. Doctor Lorio turned back to Chief Norris.

"Thank you for calling us. I have high hopes for young Patricia," he said. "Usually, people who believe they're someone else become normal, healthy, productive citizens as soon as they realize reality is more fulfilling than their fantasy world. Considering Patricia comes from a privileged background and has plenty to look forward to on the outside, getting her to realize what awaits her shouldn't be too difficult."

"I certainly hope you're right, Doctor," Norris responded. "And if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know."

"Hmmm … now that you mention it, there might be something you could help with," Dr. Lorio offered. "Perhaps, down the line, we could arrange a meeting between Patricia and the real Wonder Woman. That might be beneficial to re-enforce reality. Do you think that might be possible?"

Chief Norris played it cool. "I don't know. There are periods when I don't see or hear from her at all for weeks. But I'll keep it in mind if our paths cross."

"You do that," Dr. Lorio said, barely containing his smirk. "Otherwise, I'll be in touch. Thanks again, Chief."

As Chief Norris watched the doctor and the Amazon exit the building, he couldn't help but think bad things were on the horizon.

Sean, Lorio's chauffeur, held the door to the limo for Wonder Woman and Doctor Lorio. It wasn't a huge limousine, but it allowed the doctor and the Amazon to sit facing rather than next to each other. As the limo pulled away from the police department, Lorio put his plan in motion.

"So, Patricia, what do you hope to get from this experience?" Dr. Lorio asked.

Wonder Woman remained quiet. She didn't want to get into a battle of wits with a psychiatrist, especially someone who was in charge of the psychiatric ward of such a good hospital. Instead, she shrugged her shoulders, continuing to play the role of the pouting, confused young lady.

"Now, Patricia, it's important to set goals," Dr. Lorio continued. "You need to set goals for your improvement. Now, what is your name?"

The Amazon hesitated, then muttered, "Patricia Anzalone."

"Do you REALLY think you're Patricia Anzalone?"

Wonder Woman shrugged again and resumed looking out the window. Doctor Lorio was not deterred. "Patricia, you're a smart girl and you obviously know a lot about Wonder Woman." The Amazon perked up at the mention of her name, just like someone in her predicament should. "You and I both know that Wonder Woman gets her powers from her belt, right?"

For the first time, Wonder Woman's brow furrowed in sincerity. Losing her powers was not part of the equation. She and Norris were idiots for not considering the possibility that she could lose her costume or her belt. But it was too late to turn back now.

"You can't take my belt! You can't!" she pleaded. "I … I'll lose all my powers without it!" The Amazon hoped that by throwing a hissy fit the doctor would cave and let her hold on to it.

"Now, Patricia, I think it would be quite healthy for you to give me the belt," Dr. Lorio said in a calm voice. "You want to get well, right?"

"Yes, but I can't do that … I just can't!" Wonder Woman began crying again. "If Chief Norris thought I was a good actress before, he should see me know," she thought.

"Fine," Dr. Lorio said dismissively. He leaned towards the front of the limo to speak to the driver. "Sean, turn us around and take us back to the station. Evidently Ms. Anzalone doesn't really want to get better."

"Yes, sir, Dr. Lorio," the driver answered.

"Wait!" Wonder Woman said. "I … I do want to get better. Really. I … I just can't give up my belt. Please, I'm begging you. Anything but that."

Sean pulled to the side of the road, awaiting the outcome. Driving for Dr. Lorio like this for the past three years, he had seen similar scenes played out and the patients always caved. Once they had reached Dr. Lorio, they were really looking for help … they may not say so, but they secretly craved the aide and would do what he said.

"I'm sorry, Patricia," Lorio said, looking at her with as much pity and scorn as he could muster. Inside, he was scared shitless. He was gambling that Wonder Woman's ego and desire to "crack the case" would override her better judgment. Plus, she didn't know he was on to her. "If you don't WANT help, I can't help you no matter how good a psychiatrist I may be. You have to meet me halfway. Now, give me the belt!"

Wonder Woman rolled the possibilities through her mind. She didn't know it, but Dr. Lorio had her pegged. She considered for a moment that he had figured out who she was, but discounted it. Her acting performance was flawless … even better than SHE had expected. And Norris would have tipped her off if he thought something had gone wrong. No, more likely, this was a typical course of action a shrink would take in a situation like this. And her reaction was certainly within reason. But she realized that there would be no backing down on his part. So the question became, should she proceed and hope for the best or simply abort the mission now.

There was never any doubt.

Slowly, Wonder Woman unfastened the belt and, mustering up a few sobs, handed it to him. She felt the power drain away as Dr. Lorio smiled warmly, for the first time.

"Very good, Patricia," he said. He turned back to Sean and said, "OK, let's go to the hospital." The driver started the car moving again.

Wonder Woman was visibly upset, as "Patricia" would be, but she was also worried on the inside. Things could go wrong in a hurry without her belt. She just had to rely on her Amazon training. This alone put her at more of an advantage than virtually every human being, but she had relied on her powers for so long she hoped she was still "sharp."

As the countryside whizzed by, the two passengers settled into a comfortable silence. The Lynch Rehabilitation Hospital was in Virginia, nearly an hour outside of Washington D.C. About 45 minutes into the drive, Dr. Lorio pointed out her window.

"If you look closely, Patricia, you can see Montecillo, the original home of former president Thomas Jefferson," he said. Although she had been to Montecillo on more than one occasion, Wonder Woman looked out the window.

With her head turned, it was all the opportunity Dr. Lorio needed. He had worked the golden lasso free from her belt. With the Amazon distracted, he quickly looped it around one of her ankles … and hoped for the best.

"Don't move," he commanded. Instinctively, Wonder Woman tried to turn to see what was going on, but found she was frozen in place.

"Uh-oh," she thought, knowing that only one thing could be the cause of her problems. And if he knew that, he knew who she really was, too … and that meant BIG trouble.

Doctor Lorio had been so busy working up the courage to go through with his plan, he had no idea what to do when it worked. Here he was, a regular guy, with the fate of the world's most well-known and admired heroine, in his hands. Finally, he commanded, "Look at me." Promptly, Wonder Woman looked directly at him, the anger evident in her eyes.

"What is your name?" he lamely asked. He just wanted to hear it for himself.

"Diana, Princess of the Amazons. But people in Man's World call me Wonder Woman."

"And, as I understand it, as long as this lasso is around you, you have to tell the truth and obey the person holding it, correct?"

"Yes, the lasso compels me to obey," she answered.

Doctor Lorio was now beaming. "Sean," he yelled to the driver, "take us to the barn and hide the car. I want to try a few things before we get back, OK?"

Sean had overheard everything. He couldn't believe the gorgeous raven-haired beauty really WAS Wonder Woman, but he had never seen Dr. Lorio act as giddy. "You're the boss," he replied as he turned off the interstate an exit earlier than he normally would have.

Within three minutes, they were on the Lynch grounds, but on the opposite end of the property. They were at the stables where Thomas Lynch housed many of his prize thoroughbreds. Sean pulled the limo behind the barn where they would not be disturbed.

"Uhhh, Sean, could you please step outside and wait? I … uhh … need to talk with my patient," Dr. Lorio asked.

The driver frowned. He knew what was likely to transpire, but he also knew he shouldn't complain. The doctor had treated Sean quite well, allowing him to "star" in many of the productions. In fact, Sean was the main man in their three snuff films. He would ask … no, he would demand … for a turn with Wonder Woman. After all, she had sent all three of his brothers to jail for life. He owed her.

When Sean had exited, Dr. Lorio turned his attention back to his lovely captive.

"Well, well, well," he began. "I guess we should start from the beginning. Why are you interested in me?"

"I'm not," she answered. Just because she had to tell the truth didn't mean she had to reveal everything. As she well knew, the key to getting information wasn't always getting answers, but in asking the right questions.

Unfortunately for Wonder Woman, Dr. Lorio was a trained therapist and knew the same thing.

"OK, let's try something else. Why are you posing as a patient entering the hospital?"

"Curses!" Wonder Woman thought. She answered, "Chief Norris and his men have discovered an underground pornography ring. Many of the men and women in it have been patients at Lynch Rehabilitation Hospital. Some of them are underage. I was supposed to enter the hospital as a patient and investigate so the police wouldn't be officially involved."

"Underage?" Dr. Lorio asked. He knew some of them were underage, but he wanted to know how much Wonder Woman … and the police … knew. "Who was underage?"

"One we know for sure is the governor's daughter, Katie Reese," she answered. "We have her on film performing oral sex on an African-American."

"Katie Reese? We've never had a Katie Reese at the hospital," Lorio said. "I would have remembered. Who was it?"

"She was admitted under the name Danielle Stock," Wonder Woman answered, hating that she had to give up the information. Still, she took quiet pleasure in the look of fear that came over Lorio's face when he realized who Danielle Stock really was.

"So why didn't they just come after us?" he asked.

"The governor doesn't want his daughter to testify and ruin her reputation and they didn't trust the FBI to be discreet. So they sent me," Wonder Woman answered.

Doctor Lorio was silent as he weighed the possibilities in his head. After nearly a full minute, he looked back at the Amazon.

"OK, let's get a few things straight," he began. "If I command you to do something, you will do it, right?"

"The lasso compels me to obey," Wonder Woman repeated.

"And if I command you to forget something, you will forget it?"

"The lasso compels me to obey," she repeated again.

"OK," he began, a leer crossing his lips. "There are a few things I want you to remember …"

A few minutes later, with his instructions delivered, Dr. Lorio moved to the final test of his new power. "Now, let's try one more thing before we ask Sean to take us to the hospital." With that, he unsnapped his pants, pulled down the zipper and freed his five-inch dick. "You have no idea how many times I masturbated thinking about saying this: Wonder Woman, suck my cock."

"The lasso compels me to obey," she replied as she sank to her knees in front of the smiling doctor.

Greg Lorio, the 52-year-old, overweight, balding doctor, could tell Wonder Woman was trying to fight it, but it was a testament to the power of the lasso when he felt her ruby lips on his shaft and her hair ticking his thighs. He watched her for a full minute, watched as she bobbed up and down on his penis. He placed one hand on the back of her head, savoring the control he had over this powerful woman. He put the other hand behind his head, leaned back and closed his eyes as he enjoyed the sounds of the world's most popular heroine slurping his cock. Finally, he looked back at her just before he fired his load. He watched the hatred in her eyes, and the helplessness of the situation. As he exploded in her mouth, he saw the instant of surprise, but he admired the way she swallowed his seed, never letting her lips leave his cock.

"Very good, you can stop," he said. Wonder Woman returned to her seated position. "This pleased me," Lorio said.

Wonder Woman instantly smiled. "Really? I'm glad."

And she couldn't figure out why.

CHAPTER IV

The Lynch Rehabilitation Hospital was a sprawling castle that looked more like a mansion than a hospital. In the tradition of European architecture, the hospital had turrets and completely enclosed a courtyard with a pond and impressive flower beds. The layout also allowed for the interior windows to be without bars. There were only two ways outside the interior of the hospital grounds - a gate in the front, which is where Sean drove through, and another gate in the rear. Both were heavily guarded.

Before Sean rejoined the two in the limo, Doctor Lorio had commanded Wonder Woman to forget the "incident" in the car, but to remember his commands in her subconscious. Of course, she was compelled to obey. Now that they were at the hospital, it was time to have some fun.

Doctor Lorio led his new patient through the hospital as Sean left to park the limo. The interior of the hospital was much nicer than that of a typical facility - the walls were painted in different colors rather than the anticeptic green usually used by hospitals - and paintings were hanging throughout the building. Wonder Woman saw few patients, but didn't mention it as she was supposed to be having her own issues as Patricia Anzalone.

The Amazon also felt, well, off-kilter. Something wasn't quite right but she couldn't quite put a finger on it. She had been in enough predicaments in her crime-fighting career to realize something had happened in the limousine, but she wasn't exactly sure what it was. Whatever, she was glad they were finally inside. Perhaps she could get some "snooping" done tonight, find what she needed and get out.

"Ahh, here we are," Dr. Lorio said, snapping the Amazon out of her thoughts. "The check-in room. Come on in."

The two entered the room, which was like most check-up rooms. A bed was in the center of the room with a sink, a commode, a chair for the doctor and various instruments were throughout the room. Doctor Lorio motioned for the Amazon to sit on the bed and she did.

"Now, before we get you officially checked in, Patricia, we have to give you a check-up and run a few tests. OK?" he asked. Wonder Woman nodded sharply, but her mind was racing at what exactly this meant. She had never had a physical before … after all, she was in perfect health … but she had heard about them from colleagues. She hoped she could bluff her way through it.

"Hold on a second, OK?" Dr. Lorio stood and opened the door. He turned back around and said, matter-of-factly, "Oh, could you please get undressed? Thanks." He then left the room.

"Undressed?!?" Wonder Woman thought. "Surely he's kidding." She quickly ran through what she knew of physical exams. Sure enough, the doctors asked you to remove your clothes, but they usually gave you a gown to cover yourself. Doctor Lorio hadn't provided any gown. Maybe he forgot? Or maybe she had misheard him. Deciding there was no harm, Wonder Woman simply sat on the bed.

When Dr. Lorio returned, he was accompanied with a burly female nurse with a nametag that read "Greta." She had bright red hair - almost cartoonish in its orangish/red color - and was wearing a traditional starched white nurse's outfit.

"I thought I told you to take off your clothes," Dr. Lorio said, obviously disappointed. This bothered Wonder Woman … not that she hadn't misunderstood him, but that he was upset.

"I-I'm sorry," she stammered. "I didn't hear you." She hurriedly started pulling off her boots.

Doctor Lorio and Greta watched as the Amazon removed her boots, then her bracelets. She set them all on the bed, but Greta offered, "Here, let me take those."

"No! You can't!" Wonder Woman said urgently. "I need them!"

"Honey," the nurse replied, "you can't wear this around here. This is a hospital. We have regulation clothes for everyone."

"But … I NEED these," Wonder Woman pleaded as she clutched one of her boots to her chest.

Doctor Lorio watched with quiet amusement, then offered a suggestion. "Patricia, remember how we talked about setting goals and working towards those goals?" Wonder Woman looked at him and nodded slowly. "Well, this is a big first step, but I'll make you a deal. You give us the costume and, when you have your sessions with me, if you want, you can wear it. Belt and all. Sound fair?"

Wonder Woman weighed the options. In the grand scheme, she realized she would have to give up the costume or arouse suspicion. At least Dr. Lorio's suggestion gave her the opportunity to wear her costume in their sessions. Of course, she could spin and transform into her costume at any time, but that would DEFINITELY cause problems. Finally, she realized she had little choice.

"OK, Doctor," she said, handing the boot over to the nurse, "but I get to wear the WHOLE outfit in our sessions. Agreed?"

"Agreed, Patricia. And I'm very proud of the way you're handling this."

Wonder Woman beamed. His approval filled her with a warm feeling.

Doctor Lorio was getting warm in other ways, though. He watched as the Amazon … the most powerful superheroine in the world, unzipped the back of her bustier and revealed her breasts. As a doctor, he had seen hundreds of women … some of them drop-dead gorgeous … naked. But this was something entirely different. He watched as she slid the star-spangled briefs over her thighs and down past her knees, revealing her trimmed black pubic hair. As she handed the briefs to Greta, both doctor and nurse couldn't help but stare at the beautiful naked Amazon.

"Uhh, sit … sit back on the table," Dr. Lorio stammered. "Oh, Greta, don't forget the tiara." Wonder Woman gently removed it and handed it to the nurse, removing the last vestiges of her superheroine identity. With the uniform in her hands, Greta left the room.

"OK, let's begin," Dr. Lorio said. He stood and held up a tongue depressor. "Open wide."

Over the next 15 minutes, Dr. Lorio examined the Amazon exactly as he had examined hundreds of other patients. Greta finally returned and, between the two of them, were able to finish up the traditional physical.

"We have a few more things, Patricia," Dr. Lorio said, just as Greta was about to hand the Amazon a gown. Greta quickly pulled the gown back. The doctor had clued her in on the identity of their patient when he pulled her away from another patient and he had told Greta to play along with whatever he did. She had no idea where the doctor was going now, but she wasn't about to give Wonder Woman a stitch of clothing until she absolutely had to.

"Sure, Dr. Lorio," Wonder Woman said smiling. "What do you need?"

"First, if you could please lie down on the bed, spread your legs and bend your knees," he said.

Wonder Woman (and Greta) both looked at the doctor queerly. "I-I am not quite sure what you're doing, doctor," the Amazon said.

"Simple, it's a gynecological exam," he said. "Nurse Greta will conduct it - under my supervision, of course. It's procedure for incoming patients. We have to make sure everything is OK … down there."

"Well, doctor, trust me, I'm fine," she answered. "There really is no need to do that."

"Procedure!" Greta snapped. "We HAVE to."

Doctor Lorio was surprised Greta had jumped in as forcefully as she had, but he then realized he shouldn't have been. It was common knowledge Greta Lind was a lesbian and the thought of getting a close look at Wonder Woman's snatch was too good to pass up.

Slowly, Wonder Woman did as instructed. She didn't like this nurse, but the Amazon also knew that the sooner she got this out of the way, the better. She had never undergone an examination like this and was not looking forward to it … but she kept thinking that the poor girls she had come here to help had gone through worse. So she closed her eyes, set her jaw, and waited.

Greta grabbed some forceps and moved between Wonder Woman's legs. She couldn't help but take a peek at the Amazon's chest, where her nipples were slightly hard, due to the intentional coolness of the room. Greta looked back to her task at hand and marveled at the beauty of her pussy. The two lips were full and appeared to be pouting, matching the mood of their owner.

Greta gently pulled the two lips apart, revealing the fleshy pink within. Using the forceps, she held the exterior of Wonder Woman's pussy in place, then slid her index finger inside the Amazon. Wonder Woman squirmed and frowned at the invasion, but remained quiet.

Greta removed her finger and took a sniff, marveling at the sweet scent. Noticing Wonder Woman's closed eyes, she held it up to the doctor's nose, who also appeared impressed. Greta returned her finger and probed deeply. This caused the Amazon to exhale sharply and open her eyes.

"Hey! Is that necessary?" she asked sharply.

"I'm afraid son, hon," Greta said, continuing her probe. "Lie back, it'll be over in a sec."

Wonder Woman leaned back and closed her eyes again. She put a hand on her forehead and tried to think about being other places … anywhere but here with this woman's finger where it shouldn't be.

Greta got a wicked idea and decided to run with it. "When else will I have this chance?" she thought. As she began pulling her finger out of the Amazon, she felt for her clit. She knew she had found it when she heard Wonder Woman inhale sharply.

"Does that feel good?" Greta asked, rubbing the small, pea-sized spot gently.

Wonder Woman squirmed slightly. "Uhh, ye-yes … it does," she answered, trying to remain stoic.

Greta continued rubbing the spot for five more seconds … just long enough to tease the woman, but not long enough to arouse too much suspicion … then stopped. "All done here," she said. Greta turned to Dr. Lorio and said, "Looks good to me."

"I agree," he answered, "but there are a couple of other things we need to take care of before admitting her." The doctor rummaged in a counter for a moment, then held up a small glass container and a metal bedpan. "We need a urine sample and a stool sample, Patricia."

"WHAT?!?" Wonder Woman nearly shouted as she sat up, her breasts jiggling slightly from the sudden movement.

"It's procedure," Dr. Lorio said, trying to sound nonchalant. "We have to analyze your urine periodically to make sure you're drug free. As good a hospital as we are, even we aren't 100 percent able to keep illegal narcotics out. If you're on drugs, you can't recover."

The Amazon had to admit that made sense. "That explains the urine, but what about the stool?"

"One of the ways we've discovered patients get illegal drugs is by people smuggling them in," Dr. Lorio answered. "Getting incoming patients to produce a stool and examining it proves they're clean."

Wonder Woman grimaced, but reluctantly admitted they had a point. Drugs WERE a problem and if this was the way they handled it, more power to them … even if it was embarrassing and inconvenient to her.

She slowly took both the glass and the bedpan and approached the commode. She turned back around and saw the doctor and nurse still standing in the room.

"Uh, doctor, could I have a little privacy please," she asked.

"I'm sorry, Patricia, but we have to stay in here to make sure you don't tamper with the samples," the doctor replied. "For example, you could add water to your urine sample and dilute it. We have to watch."

"BOTH of you?" she asked, a twinge of pleading in her voice.

"Yes, Patricia," Dr. Lorio said, the condescending tone creeping back into his voice. "Nurse Greta is here for both of our protection. With a female patient and a male doctor, a female staff member MUST be present at all times a physical examination is taking place to make sure nothing improper takes place. Sadly, this is the world we live in."

Wonder Woman bowed her head. "I-I understand," she muttered.

"Now, go ahead," Dr. Lorio said. "We'll try to be as unobtrusive as possible."

Wonder Woman turned back and faced the commode. She had never been so embarrassed in her life. Not only was she naked in front of these two strangers, but she was about to perform intimate bodily functions in front of them. Carefully, she squatted and held the glass in front of her to catch the urine. She closed her eyes, gritted her teeth a little, then waited.

Doctor Lorio and Greta, meanwhile, simply watched. Lorio couldn't believe it - he simply asked the Amazon to piss, and she was DOING it. He watched as a look of frustration, then relief came over Wonder Woman's face as he heard the steady stream of urine come. He looked towards her crotch and saw the yellow stream appearing between her pussy lips and filling the glass. The doctor turned sideways somewhat so neither woman could notice him adjusting his hard-on that had developed.

Wonder Woman gently set the glass on the floor, took a piece of toilet paper, cleaned herself then threw it in the commode. She picked the glass back up and handed it to the nurse. Greta took it, put a lid on it and wrote "Patricia Anzalone" on the label before setting it back on the counter.

"Thank you, Patricia," Dr. Lorio said. "Now for the other sample …" and he handed her the bedpan.

Wonder Woman took it and placed it under her rear on the commode. She squatted again and took a deep breath. The three people in the room waited for nearly a full minute. The Amazon realized the quicker she got this over with, the better off she would be, so she started straining.

Doctor Lorio couldn't believe what he was seeing. America's beloved heroine had balled up her fist and was obviously straining to produce a turd. She gritted her teeth and closed her eyes. Finally, the trio heard a small plop that echoed in the tiny metal tin.

Wonder Woman took a deep breath. "There," she sighed. She removed the bedpan and wiped her ass clean, throwing the tissue in the commode and flushing. She picked the pan back up and handed it to the doctor.

Doctor Lorio looked in. Like the rest of the woman, the piece of shit was perfect in shape and brown texture. It didn't even smell too terrible. "She obviously eats right," he thought, quietly laughing at himself for the thought. "Now for the coup de grace."

"Very good, Patricia," he said. "Now, just prove to me there are no drugs in there."

Wonder Woman looked at him, unsure of what he meant. Finally, she asked, "What are you talking about?"

"Just poke around your feces and show me there is nothing in there other than waste material," he said.

"You're kidding, right?" she asked. Even Greta was looking quizzically at the doctor. She had never heard anything like this.

"No, Patricia," he answered. "Do it!"

Wonder Woman was about to argue, but his command stung a little. "It's just human waste," she thought. "There's nothing harmful in there. Just do it and make the doctor happy."

Slowly, she began pawing with her first two fingers through her poo, mashing it into the bedpan until it was a mashed turd. When it was nearly completely flat, she showed it to the doctor and nurse again. "Satisfied?" she asked.

"Very good, Patricia," Doctor Lorio said. "Now, wash your hands and Nurse Greta will give you a gown. When you're ready, come out of the room and we'll show you your room." Greta laid a pink hospital gown on the bed, then followed the doctor out of the room, leaving the Amazon with two shit-covered fingers and a growing feeling she had just been more humiliated than examined.
