Summary:
Diana Prince goes undercover as singer Kathy Meadows at Phoenix Records in LA, in
pursuit of notorious extortionist, Adele Kobler. Wonder Woman's involvement gives
Kobler other ideas.
Notes:
An unscrupulous extortionist, monitored by the IADC, infiltrates the music industry
by holding the master copy of pop star Billy Dero's last album ransom. Billy's recent
disappearance, presumed to be a tragic accident at sea, has left the album's release
crucial for the survival of Eric Landau's struggling Phoenix Studios. Enter Diana,
an undercover agent posing as singer Kathy Meadows, tasked with thwarting the extortionist's
scheme.
Adele, the mastermind behind the extortion, dispatches her henchman Marty to coerce Eric into paying the ransom. At a studio press party, Diana crosses paths with an eclectic mix of musicians, including the conservative sibling duo Barbi & Jeff, and the eccentric trio Antimatter. She witnesses Marty destroying a part of the master tape, threatening to continue unless the ransom is paid. Caught eavesdropping, Diana confesses her knowledge of the situation to Eric.
Desperate to save his studio, Eric enlists Antimatter's help to decipher hidden messages in Billy's unreleased recordings. Antimatter, decoding clues from Billy's album, traces his supposed whereabouts to a remote cabin in Santa Monica.
Diana, discovering Eric's plan to pay the ransom, secretly records the drop-off details and pursues him to prevent the exchange. Antimatter, arriving at the cabin, finds Billy alive and well, having faked his death to boost album sales. As they convince Billy to face the consequences of his actions, Diana races against time to stop Eric from delivering the ransom money.
Chapter 1
The Antimatter trio, along with Billy, rush out of the van just as Diana is about to get into her car.
"Billy Dero?" Diana exclaims, her eyes widening in surprise at seeing the supposedly deceased pop star.
"It's a long story," Anton says, panting slightly from the rush. "Where's Eric?"
"Well, that's another long story." Diana replies, her expression turning serious. "Listen, I'll explain on the way to Sherman Oaks. You guys have got to help me. We've got to get to Eric before he bankrupts himself by paying a ransom of $1 million..." She quickly informs them about Eric's plan to pay the ransom for Billy's tapes.
They all pile into the Antimatter van, a vibrant, graffiti-covered vehicle that matches the trio's eccentric personality. Diana sits in the back row, her mind racing with the plan ahead. The van roars to life, and they speed towards Sherman Oaks.
Upon arrival at the drop point, a densely wooded area with a small clearing, they spot Eric just before he hands over the suitcase to Marty. Marty, taken aback by their sudden appearance, wastes no time and jumps into his car to escape.
Eric is overjoyed to see Billy alive. "Billy! You're alive!" he exclaims, his face a mix of relief and disbelief.
"Come on. Let's go!" Diana urges, pushing everyone back into the van to give chase to Marty. As they pull away, Diana silently slips out of the van's back door, unnoticed by the others. She quickly seeks cover behind a large oak tree, and with a swift spin, transforms into Wonder Woman, her golden bracelets gleaming in the sunlight.
Wonder Woman takes off in pursuit of Marty, her powerful strides quickly closing the distance between them. She leaps ahead, landing gracefully in the middle of the road. With a swift, powerful push, she knocks down a nearby telephone pole, pushing it onto the road to block Marty's path.
Marty, behind the wheel of his car, is stunned at the sudden appearance of the iconic heroine. He slams on the brakes, his car skidding to a halt just inches away from the fallen pole. He jumps out of the car, his initial awe at seeing Wonder Woman quickly replaced by panic. He makes a run for it, darting into the woods.
The Antimatter van screeches to a halt behind Marty's abandoned car. Everyone piles out, ready to give chase. Kim, the fastest of the group, catches up to Marty first. A quick scuffle ensues, but Marty lands a solid punch, sending Kim tumbling down a steep hill onto the road below, directly into the path of an oncoming car.
Wonder Woman, hearing Kim's cry, abandons her pursuit of Marty and rushes to Kim's aid. She pushes him out of the way just in the nick of time, the car whizzing past them mere inches away. Kim looks up at her, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Wonder Woman," he breathes.
But the commotion has given Marty enough time to make his getaway. Wonder Woman scans the area, but there's no sign of him. She turns to leave just as the rest of the group catches up.
"Where's Kathy?" Jerry asks, looking around in confusion.
Realization dawns on their faces as they remember leaving her back at the handoff point. They rush back to the van, leaving Wonder Woman behind, and drive back to find Diana waiting by the side of the road, a look of relief on her face as they pull up.
Later, back at her lavish estate, Adele Kobler sits behind her expansive mahogany desk, listening to Marty's recount of the day's events. The room is filled with an eclectic mix of expensive art and ostentatious decor, a testament to Kobler's ill-gotten wealth. Marty, still visibly shaken, describes the chain of events leading to his failure to collect the extortion money, his voice tinged with a mix of fear and awe.
"And then, out of nowhere, Wonder Woman shows up," Marty says, his eyes widening at the memory. "She was... she was something else, Ms. Kobler. All legs and curves, and that costume..." He trails off, a hint of arousal in his voice, clearly fantasizing about the heroine who had interfered in their affairs.
"Wonder Woman..." Adele cuts him off, her voice sharp with annoyance. "Wonderful. Simply wonderful." She stands up, her heels clicking against the polished marble floor as she walks over to pick up the envelope containing the master tape. "Not only did you botch the pick-up, but now with Billy Dero miraculously alive once more, do you know how much this is worth?" She brandishes the tape to everyone in the room, her voice dripping with disdain. "Nothing!" She throws the envelope onto the desk, her eyes flashing with anger. "All Landau has to do is have Dero re-record it. We couldn't even trade it in for a crummy John Travolta poster."
Barbi, seated on a plush velvet sofa, clears her throat, her eyes never leaving Adele. "Not necessarily. There is one way to restore the value of that tape." She pauses, ensuring she has everyone's attention. "It was worth so much more before because it was a memorial album. Right? All we have to do is make it a memorial album all over again."
Jeff, standing by the grand fireplace, turns to face Barbi, his expression one of disbelief. "Wait a minute. What are you talking about? You're suggesting we kill him."
Adele, a cruel smile playing on her lips, nods in approval. "I like it. It's simple, to the point. It may work."
"Are you joking?" Jeff responds, his voice rising in disbelief. "We're talking about murder."
Barbi, her voice cold and calculating, turns to face her brother. "Don't be a fool, Jeffrey. We're in this too deep. We have no alternative."
"No!" Jeff is adamant, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. "Listen, there's got to be a better way. I mean, what's the sense in killing him just so your tape will be worth something? Why hold the tape for ransom when you can hold Billy for ransom?"
Adele, her eyes gleaming with renewed interest, turns to face Jeff. "Now, that is an extraordinarily good idea, Jeff." She nods in approval, her mind already racing with the new plan. "With Billy and the tape in our possession, we'd have Phoenix completely at our mercy. Yes. That's a very good idea."
Marty, still nursing a bruise from his earlier encounter, hesitates before speaking up. "What about Wonder Woman? She's not going to just stand by and let us grab Billy."
Adele's expression darkens, her mind working quickly. She knows the IADC has been after her, wanting to shut down her extortion activities. But Wonder Woman's appearance in Los Angeles has caught her off guard. She paces across the room, her heels clicking sharply against the floor, her mind formulating a new strategy. She realizes that now they can prepare for Wonder Woman, but only if they know where she will be.
Barbi, lost in thought, suddenly gasps, her eyes widening with realization. "The press party at Phoenix! That singer, Kathy Meadows. She looked so familiar." She turns to the others, her voice filled with excitement. "No wonder she looked familiar. Except for that outrageous costume, she looked exactly like Wonder Woman. Don't you see? Wonder Woman is working undercover at Phoenix! That would explain her sudden appearance today. She was with them all along."
Adele nods, a cruel smile playing on her lips. "Well, well, well. It seems we have an Amazon among us. We'll have to deal with her as well. But now, we know where she'll be." Her eyes gleam with anticipation. "Defeating her will come with its own rewards."
She turns to the group, her voice filled with renewed determination. "Now here's what we're going to do..."
As Adele lays out her plans, Marty's eyes light up with a twisted excitement. The prospect of defeating and capturing Wonder Woman, after barely escaping her earlier, sends a thrill through him. He shifts uncomfortably, his desire evident in his expression.
The room is filled with a tense silence as Adele continues to outline her strategy, her voice cold and calculating. The others listen intently, their minds filled with images of the battle to come. The stage is set for a confrontation, and they are ready to face the Amazon head-on.
Chapter 2
The following day, Billy Dero is in the studio, convinced by Eric to re-record his songs. The Antimatter trio—Anton, Jerry, and Kim—are there to assist him. In an adjoining studio, "Kathy Meadows" is rehearsing her own songs, her voice filling the small room.
Barbi, Jeff, and Marty, dressed in ski masks to conceal their identities, sneak into the control booth. Jeff quickly gets to work, attaching a small electronic device underneath the control panel. He activates it, a small red light blinking to indicate it's live.
Inside the recording studio, an odd noise starts to emanate from the speakers. It begins as an annoying feedback, a high-pitched whine that grows increasingly louder. The men inside the studio—Billy, and the Antimatter trio—wince at the sound, trying to cover their ears. But the noise builds rapidly, becoming an unbearable sonic attack that seems to pierce their very skulls.
Billy is the first to drop to his knees, his hands clamped tightly over his ears, his face contorted in agony. One by one, the others follow suit, their bodies crumpling to the floor as the sound overwhelms them. In the control booth, Barbi, Jeff, and Marty watch in satisfaction, their eyes gleaming behind their masks.
In the adjoining room, Diana hears the commotion. She quickly spins, transforming into Wonder Woman. She rushes to the control room, her boots pounding against the floor. She scans the controls, pressing buttons randomly, trying to find the source of the sound, but the device is well-hidden. Unable to deactivate it, she realizes her only recourse is to go inside the studio and disconnect the speakers producing the sonic attack.
Wonder Woman steels herself and enters the studio. The sound hits her like a physical force, and she staggers, her hands flying up to cover her ears. But her heightened senses make the effect on her even more devastating. She tries to push through the pain, her eyes watering as she searches for the speakers. She takes a step forward, then another, her body trembling with the effort.
She reaches out, her fingers brushing against the speaker cable. But the sound is too much. She tries to turn, to leave the room and think of another way to stop the noise, but it's too late. Her vision swims, and she falls to her knees, her body succumbing to the sonic assault. She pitches forward, her eyes fluttering closed as she loses consciousness, her body crumpling to the floor alongside the others.
Kobler's people watch in satisfaction as Wonder Woman crumples to the floor, their plan unfolding perfectly. They quickly don specially made earplugs, designed to block out the debilitating sound that continues to fill the studio.
Marty, his eyes locked on Wonder Woman's unconscious form, moves swiftly towards her. He bends down, his hands grasping her firmly as he lifts her effortlessly over his shoulder. Her body dangles behind him, her legs resting against his chest. He can't help but savor the feel of her against him, his hands running up and down her shapely thighs and butt, a smug smile playing on his lips. This was something he never expected to do, and he's relishing every moment of it.
Meanwhile, Jeff and Barbi move towards Billy, who is still unconscious on the floor. They lift him up, grunting slightly with the effort, and carry him between them. They glance at Marty, a silent acknowledgment passing between them as they make their way out of the studio.
They exit the building quickly, their steps hurried but careful. They reach their car, parked in a secluded spot nearby. Marty opens the trunk, and with a final, lingering touch, deposits Wonder Woman inside. Jeff and Barbi lay Billy on top of her, their bodies fitting snugly in the confined space.
Marty slams the trunk shut, a sense of triumph coursing through him. They've done it. They've captured Wonder Woman and Billy Dero. He gets into the driver's seat, Jeff and Barbi climbing in beside him. The car roars to life, and they speed off, leaving the studio behind. Their mission is a success, and they can't wait to deliver their prizes to Kobler.
As they drive, Marty keeps glancing in the rearview mirror, half-expecting to see someone in pursuit. But the road remains clear, and he allows himself a small smile of victory. They've outsmarted Wonder Woman, and now, they hold all the cards.
After driving for a while, they pull over in a secluded spot, away from prying eyes. The car rolls to a stop, and they exit the vehicle, leaving the engine running.
Marty opens the trunk, revealing their unconscious prisoners. Billy is sprawled on top of Wonder Woman, his face pressed against her ample chest. Marty and Jeff chuckle at the sight, their eyes lingering on the compromising position.
"Surely Billy would have wanted to be awake for this," Marty jokes, a lewd grin on his face.
Barbi rolls her eyes, her voice dripping with disdain. "Men are such pigs."
They get to work securing their prisoners. Jeff pulls out a length of rope and begins to bind Billy's wrists and ankles, his movements swift and efficient. Meanwhile, Marty turns his attention to Wonder Woman. He pulls out her own magic lasso, a smirk playing on his lips as he uses it to restrain her.
He starts with her wrists, wrapping the lasso around them tightly. His hands linger on her skin, savoring the feel of her beneath his fingertips. He loops the lasso around her waist, pulling it taut before moving down to her ankles. His hands wander as he works, tracing the curves of her body, a hungry look in his eyes.
Once she's securely bound, Marty lifts Wonder Woman out of the trunk, his arms wrapped around her. He carries her to the back seat of the car, depositing her beside him. He positions her so that her head rests against his shoulder, his arm draped around her, his hand resting on her bare shoulder.
Jeff and Barbi haul Billy out of the trunk, carrying him to the car. They push him into the back seat, forcing his head down onto Wonder Woman's shapely thighs. Billy stirs slightly, a soft groan escaping his lips, but he remains unconscious.
Marty looks down at Wonder Woman, a sense of satisfaction coursing through him. He runs his hand along her thigh, his fingers tracing the curve of her hip. He can't believe his luck, can't believe that he has Wonder Woman herself at his mercy.
Barbi climbs into the passenger seat, her eyes meeting Marty's in the rearview mirror. "Let's go," she says, her voice cold. "Kobler is waiting."
The car pulls up to the grand entrance of Kobler's estate, the tires crunching on the gravel driveway. As they come to a stop, the captives begin to stir, regaining consciousness.
Billy groans, his eyes fluttering open. He finds himself face-down on Wonder Woman's lap, his cheek pressed against her smooth, muscular thighs. Marty, noticing Billy's awakening, chuckles and leans down to whisper in his ear. "Morning, sunshine. Enjoying the view?"
Billy's eyes widen in realization, and he tries to lift his head, but Jeff presses a hand firmly on his back, keeping him in place. "Not so fast, lover boy," Jeff taunts.
Wonder Woman stirs, her eyelashes fluttering as she comes to. The first thing she feels is the weight of Marty's arm draped over her shoulders, his fingers inching dangerously close to the tops of her breasts. She stiffens, her eyes snapping open to meet Marty's leering gaze.
"Morning, Princess," Marty smirks, his hand squeezing her shoulder. "Nice of you to join us."
Bound at her wrists and ankles, Wonder Woman is helpless as Marty lifts her effortlessly, slinging her over his shoulder. Her body tenses, her fists clenching as she tries to struggle, but the bindings hold fast. Marty carries her inside the house, his hand resting possessively on her lower back.
Jeff and Barbi haul Billy out of the car, each grabbing an arm as they lead him inside. Billy stumbles, his legs still shaky from the effects of the sonic attack, but they keep him moving, pushing him forward.
Adele Kobler stands in the grand foyer, her arms crossed over her chest as she watches her captives being brought in. Her eyes gleam with triumph as she sees Wonder Woman, her prize catch.
"Ah, Wonder Woman," Adele purrs, circling her like a predator. "The great Amazon warrior, brought to her knees. Quite literally." She laughs, a cold, harsh sound that echoes through the room.
Wonder Woman glares at her, defiance burning in her eyes. "You won't get away with this," she says, her voice steady and strong.
Adele merely smiles, unfazed by the threat. "Oh, I think I already have. You see, Billy here will get us an easy million from Phoenix. But you... you are the real prize. I wonder, how much will the IADC or the US Government be willing to pay to get their precious heroine back?"
She taps a finger against her chin, her eyes narrowing as she considers the possibilities. "And if they don't pay up, well, there are plenty of others who would. An arch enemy of yours, a criminal mastermind, perhaps even a rich playboy looking for a unique... toy."
Wonder Woman's expression darkens, but she remains silent, her mind racing with possible escape plans. Her mission was to capture Adele Kobler, but she knows she's in a grim situation. She ended up being the one captured instead.
Adele turns to her henchmen, her voice filled with cold determination. "Lock them up. I have some calls to make. It's time to see just how much our guests are worth."
Marty grins, his eyes lingering on Wonder Woman as he carries her away, following Jeff and Barbi who drag Billy along. The heavy doors of the estate close behind them, sealing their fate.
Is this the end?
